EXTENDED INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES

This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, and how they are used by FOR LIVING SRL
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by a user send to their terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored before being retransmitted to the same websites during the same visit (session cookies) or later, even after several days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, based on user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
While browsing a website, users may also receive cookies on their terminals that are sent from different websites or web servers (so-called "third parties"), which may contain certain elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages on other domains) present on the website they are visiting.
Cookies, usually present in users' browsers in very large numbers and sometimes with characteristics of long persistence in time, are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, etc.
In the remainder of this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply using the term “cookies”.
TYPES OF COOKIES
The Provision of the Privacy Guarantor “Identification of simplified procedures for the information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies – 8 May 2014 (Official Journal no. 126 of 3 June 2014)” identifies two macro-categories of cookies: “technical” cookies and “profiling” cookies.
Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
They are not used for other purposes and are usually installed directly by the website owner or operator. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website; analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; and functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a set of selected criteria in order to improve the service provided.
The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users, while the obligation to provide the information pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation 679/2016 remains in place. If the site manager uses only such devices, he or she may provide this information in the manner he or she deems most appropriate.
FOR LIVING SRL websites use technical or similar cookies:
- Sites that display the information banner required by the Italian Data Protection Authority's provision no. 229 of 8/5/2014 install a technical cookie on the visitor's device to confirm that the "OK" button has been clicked and to prevent the banner from being displayed again. If this cookie is deleted, the banner will reappear the first time the user visits the site.
- The cookie is called catAccCookies.
Description of the cookie's purpose : Determines whether the visitor has accepted the cookie consent box. This prevents the consent box from reappearing upon return.

- Most FOR LIVING SRL websites use Google Analytics , a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc., which installs its own cookies to collect and analyze information on users' use of FOR LIVING SRL websites. For Living Srl adopts appropriate measures to reduce the identifying power of these cookies by anonymizing the visitor's IP address according to the methods indicated by Google itself:
IP Anonymization
Google Analytics protects the privacy of your data in several ways:
- The Google Analytics Terms of Service, which all Google Analytics customers must comply with, prohibit the submission of personal information to Google Analytics. Personal information includes any data that Google can use to reliably identify an individual, including, but not limited to, names, email addresses, or billing information;
- You may not provide Google Analytics data to third parties without your consent, except in specific circumstances, such as when required by law;
- Google's teams of expert security engineers protect data from external threats. Internal access to data is strictly regulated and subject to employee access controls and procedures.

Profiling
cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing online. Given the potential invasiveness of these cookies on users' privacy, European and Italian legislation requires that users be adequately informed about their use and express their valid consent.
Article 122 of the Code refers to them when it states that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or user, or access to information already stored, is permitted only on condition that the contractor or user has given his or her consent after being informed using the simplified procedures referred to in Article 13, paragraph 3" (Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
Third-party cookies
When visiting a website, you may receive cookies from both the visited site ("proprietary cookies") and from sites managed by other organizations ("third-party cookies"). An example are Instagram's social plugins. These are parts of the visited page generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the host site's page. The most common use of social plugins is for sharing content on social networks.
The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by the relevant policies, to which we ask you to refer. COOKIE DURATION
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the user logs out. Other cookies "survive" the browser closure and are available during subsequent visits by the user.
These cookies are called persistent, and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases, an expiration date is set; in other cases, the duration is unlimited.
While browsing the pages of the site, you may interact with sites managed by third parties that may create or modify persistent and profiling cookies.
